Get advice on planting projects and more
Our Tree Planting Project team need your help! Are you a landowner, school, community group or charity who would like to plant trees on your land? If so, the team would like you to get in touch through a before 31 July 2024.
Increased tree planting helps communities to fight the effects of climate change. Hedgerow saplings are great for capturing pollution, reducing noise, mitigating flooding, and providing food and shelter to wildlife. Larger trees, planted on residential verges help towards absorbing carbon dioxide and provide shade.
The Tree Planting Project team can help plan tree and hedgerow planting projects, choose species and signpost to funding opportunities, also offering advice on planting and aftercare of trees.
Help support ÄûÃʵ¼°¹'s ambition to facilitate the planting of 1.2 million trees in ÄûÃʵ¼°¹, one for every resident, by 2030 with the aim to be carbon neutral by 2050.
Visit the Working Together to plant 1.2 million trees webpage for further information including the interactive tree map where you can see how many trees have been planted in your community, plot your own planted trees, get tree planting advice and discover all tree planting volunteer opportunities.
